Long throw torches are designed to throw a beam of light as far as possible, often over 1km. They are often used for military use, hunting, as well as search and rescue. Often referred to as spotlights, long throw torches allow you to illuminate targets at great distances and work well when paired with a spotting scope. Long throw torches will quite often hold a single LED, with a large reflector, resulting in higher peak beam intensity (candela).
